Henry Cow
Henry Cow van ser un grup de rock fundat el 1968 pels multi-instrumentistes Fred Frith i Tim Hodgkinson a la Universitat de Cambridge. La seva inherent actitud anti-comercial els va mantenir fora del negoci de la música dominant, cosa que els va permetre experimentar al seu aire. El critic Myles Boisen va escriure, "el seu so era tan volàtil i agosarat que van tenir pocs imitadors, encara que van inspirar a molts als dos costats de l'Atlàntic amb un a barreja d'espontaneïtat, estructures intricades, filosofia i humor que ha perdurat i transcendit l'etiqueta "rock progressiu".
El seu primer enregistrament va ser l'àlbum Legend , també conegut com Leg End, que es va enregistrar i publicar l'estiu del 1973 per la discogràfica Virgin. Un treball virtuós, creatiu i arriscat, amb un so completament original que combina inspirades improvisacions amb complexes construccions harmòniques.
